AICCI Appoints Mian Abdul Jalil as Chairman of Technology & Digital Transformation

On August 28, 2026, the Africa International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AICCI) announced the appointment of Mian Abdul Jalil as Chairman of Technology & Digital Transformation. A technology entrepreneur, artificial intelligence product engineer, and executive operator, Jalil brings more than a decade of hands-on software engineering and leadership experience across Africa, the Gulf, and South Asia. In this role, he will guide AICCI’s continental strategy on digital infrastructure, emerging technology adoption, and cross-border technological partnerships across 54 African member nations.

A Strategic Leader in Applied Technology and Venture Building

Mian Abdul Jalil has built a career bridging deep software engineering with executive leadership. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ByteForge, an applied AI product studio based in Dubai, he has led the development of scalable, AI-enabled software platforms for enterprises and high-growth businesses across the MENA and APAC region. Under his direction, ByteForge expanded rapidly, establishing a dedicated team of AI engineers and data scientists delivering intelligent workflow automation and enterprise software solutions.

His executive track record also includes serving as President of OttoCore and Chief Operating Officer at AppRocket, where he directed engineering operations, introduced agile delivery frameworks, and accelerated software deployment cycles. Additionally, his selection as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Antler in Dubai highlights his ability to turn early-stage technological innovations into viable, high-impact commercial ventures.

Enhancing AICCI’s Mission and Continental Digital Agenda

As Chairman of Technology & Digital Transformation, Jalil will oversee AICCI’s strategic initiatives to position Africa competitively within the global digital economy. His mandate centers on shaping policy frameworks, establishing regional technical benchmarks, and connecting African institutions and private enterprises with capital, infrastructure, and technical expertise from the Gulf, Asia, and international markets.

His committee will focus on three core objectives: defining digital transformation standards for member states, building cross-border institutional partnerships that advance technology projects from initial pilots to continental scale, and cultivating the technical talent needed to sustain long-term economic growth.

Driving AI Readiness and Scalable Infrastructure

A defining aspect of Jalil’s approach is his focus on practical execution rather than theoretical adoption. Beginning his career as a software engineer before transitioning into executive management, he has spent over ten years building distributed cloud architectures, automated workflows, and applied machine learning models.

Jalil has architected multi-agent business automation platforms, algorithmic recommendation systems, and large language model integrations that optimize operations and reduce enterprise overhead. This engineering background ensures that AICCI’s digital transformation agenda remains anchored in robust systems, measurable outcomes, and audit-ready reliability.

A Career Grounded in Engineering and Operational Discipline

Jalil holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Information Technology University in Lahore. His technical career includes key engineering roles where he managed machine learning models, site reliability pipelines, and enterprise software systems.

This combination of technical depth and operational discipline enables him to align corporate leadership, regulatory bodies, and engineering teams behind unified transformation roadmaps.

Looking Forward: AICCI’s Future with Mian Abdul Jalil

With Mian Abdul Jalil leading the Technology & Digital Transformation committee, AICCI is positioned to accelerate technology adoption and digital trade enablement across the continent. His ability to mobilize cross-border ecosystems and deploy applied technologies will strengthen AICCI’s role as a catalyst for sustainable, tech-driven economic prosperity.

His appointment marks a forward-looking milestone for AICCI as the organization expands its capacity to connect Africa’s dynamic markets with global capital, technology networks, and modern industrial systems.
