On August 10, 2026, the Africa International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AICCI) announced the appointment of Jawwad Ahmed Chaudhary as a member of its Global Board. As the founder and chief executive officer of Musterhaft (Pvt.) Limited and a former chairman of the Pakistan Ready-Made Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA) North Zone, Jawwad brings over 35 years of executive management and global trade experience. His expertise in building compliant export supply chains and advancing sustainable manufacturing will support AICCI’s mission to foster international trade and economic development.
Jawwad Ahmed Chaudhary is recognized for establishing Musterhaft in Lahore in 1991 and growing it into a globally connected apparel manufacturing and export enterprise. Under his leadership, the company achieved annual export sales exceeding 15 million US dollars, maintaining sustained business relationships across the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia. His operational experience covers enterprise resource planning, industrial engineering, and strict adherence to environmental and social compliance standards for major international fashion houses and retailers.
In his role on the Global Board, Jawwad will support AICCI’s strategic initiatives in trade facilitation and cross-border partnerships. His tenure as Chairman of PRGMEA North Zone involved leading national advocacy on trade tariffs, preferential trade status, and cost reduction measures in the apparel sector. Furthermore, his work with international development partners including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Union, JICA, USAID, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and UNIDO demonstrates his capacity to manage large-scale multi-stakeholder initiatives.
A core pillar of Jawwad’s career is his commitment to sustainable manufacturing and ethical business practices. He has directed corporate transitions toward green economy principles, overseeing environmental, chemical management, and social compliance requirements for buyers worldwide. His leadership in projects such as the GIZ Social Standards initiative and the Sustainable Production Centre highlights his dedication to improving working conditions, promoting energy conservation, and implementing low-impact industrial technologies.
Jawwad holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, alongside specialized studies in fashion design and marketing from the Bunka Fashion School in Japan. This combination of technical engineering roots and deep industry insight allows him to approach operational challenges with structural precision. His active participation in technical training boards, business forums, and international development initiatives reflects a lifelong commitment to capacity building and professional excellence.
