This prestigious award is named after Professor Emeritus Dr. Nasrolah Farokhi, a revered figure who dedicated over four decades to the institution, and it recognizes leaders within the Office of Academic Affairs who foster scholarly participation and community engagement.

In addition to his role as Chair of the Department of Business, he has served as Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. During this time, his leadership was instrumental in driving significant academic accomplishments and fostering an environment that prioritizes student success.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the college presented him with the Institutional Leadership Award during the 2023 commencement ceremony. Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Adoo is also a successful entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Education & Management Consulting, LLC (EMCLLC), a consultancy firm that is renowned for delivering innovative organizational development and training solutions. Through EMCLLC, Dr. Adoo has collaborated with numerous organizations, including Ecole Thérèse Internationale in Ghana, to advance curriculum development, cultural appreciation, diversity, and leadership growth.

Dr. Adoo’s journey from Prestea, Ghana, to the pinnacle of academic and professional success is a story of perseverance, dedication, and impact. Growing up in Prestea, a town in the Western Region of Ghana, Dr. Adoo was shaped by the challenges and opportunities of his environment. As the eldest sibling in his family, he learned the values of responsibility, hard work, and empathy from an early age.
His educational journey began at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education. He later pursued a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Argosy University/Atlanta’s College of Business, an ACBSP-accredited program.
