The Africa International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AICCI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Stacey Menga Onyango as the new Chapter CEO for Kenya, effective June 7, 2024. Stacey Menga Onyango is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur with a robust track record in fostering entrepreneurship and resolving business disputes. She is the Founder and Director of Minkoti Agencies Limited and the Institute of Entrepreneurship & Innovations Training (IEIT). Under her leadership, these organizations have made significant strides in economic development and job creation.
Founded in 2009, Minkoti Agencies Limited began as a small enterprise and has since grown into a key player in the construction industry. The company specializes in building and civil works construction, as well as labor-based contracting. With operations in Kenya and South Sudan, Minkoti Agencies Limited has successfully completed major projects for government parastatals and international contractors.
In 2018, Stacey expanded her entrepreneurial ventures by establishing IEIT. The institute aims to empower young people through comprehensive training programs and startup capital, nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators. IEIT’s initiatives have been instrumental in driving economic growth and fostering innovation across various sectors.
Stacey also brings her extensive experience in dispute resolution and mediation to AICCI. She has demonstrated a deep commitment to resolving business conflicts efficiently and fairly in international trade affairs. Her international accreditations as a mediator from the Strathmore Dispute Resolution Centre and Facilit8 UK further underscore her expertise in this area.
Stacey’s contributions to the industry have earned her numerous accolades. She was a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur Award category by Awief and received the Best Woman in Construction Award 2023 from WIB Kenya. Additionally, she was honored as the Best Startup Ecosystem Builder of the Year 2023 by ASEB Summit Awards, recognizing her role in nurturing the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Stacey’s educational background is as impressive as her professional achievements. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Management, a higher diploma in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree. This solid academic foundation supports her strategic approach to business leadership and innovation.
Stacey is actively engaged in addressing the challenges facing the construction industry, including inflation, high-interest rates, and the shortage of specialized workforce. She remains optimistic about the industry’s future, foreseeing stable growth in infrastructure investment and the adoption of sustainable building technologies for a greener future.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Stacey enjoys reading, writing, and spending quality time with her family. She is also passionate about teaching the word of God, reflecting her commitment to personal growth and spiritual well-being.
